Today is the continuation of Juneteenth, and honestly, I’m still perplexed. I still cannot fathom how a nation could publicly recognize that they were brutally cruel and disgustingly xenophobic to Black people for centuries, yet still be so slow to provide the proper reparations that are needed other than national holidays and “individual recognitions.” I just don’t understand how we can have a public holiday that reminds us of slavery every single year, but then not do anything at all about the fact that Black people continue to lead in the poverty gap that exists across America and the diaspora. Right now, the economy is going through a major inflation; and while everyone is being affected by it, the census bureau recently released data that observed that Black people represented 13.2% of the total population in the United States, but 23.8% of the poverty population. This means that the share of Blacks in poverty was 1.8 times greater than the general population. Those numbers are striking. And I’m not sure if it’s just me, but lately, life has just been super unpredictable and unexpected. Events keep taking place that I totally was not expecting at all, but as a result, I’m being forced to tap deeper into a more ‘spiritual’ sense of myself… one that requires me to Go With The Flow.
Going with the flow is a process that produces harmony and balance. Going with the flow not only allows you to be in the present moment, it also allows you to grow your faith in the universe and in yourself. Faith is not just a religious concept, it’s a scientific theory. All hypothesis are based on the fact that you believe there’s something to investigate. Likewise, with faith, you must believe in something that you can’t necessarily see or even prove yet. The key word here is yet. This is because once you fully trust in the Divine Energy that most people call God or their Higher Power, you start noticing certain doors opening, and you realize that you truly have all that you wish for already within you. You are a perfectly imperfect manifestation of the reincarnation that you were meant to have. Sure, there is always room for improvement in how, for example, we react to situations; or how we treat others; or even how we treat ourselves. But for the most part, you are already whole and complete in yourself; and should never let someone make you think otherwise. Going with the flow requires trusting that nothing that you absolutely need is ever dictated or forced. The Universe has an odd but beautiful way of rewarding those who just trust in the process. When you are patient and know in your heart that everything will work itself out, you allow the Universe to work its wonders and take you on a journey that you never before could imagine. This is why you often hear the people who are living their dreams say, “I never thought this was possible.” It’s not that they didn’t imagine themselves attaining their dreams, most times they’re just mesmerized by the capacity at which their dreams came true; the magnitude at which The Universe/God/The Highest Power helped them achieve their success. Successful people are also often quoted saying that they had to learn to let go of a lot of things ~ in mental, physical and emotional capacities, in order to find the truest versions of themselves and excel.
For you to fully tap into yourself, you must learn to let go and go with the flow. Why? Because holding on to things will cause you to become physically ill. You will start decomposing from the inside-out because you’re holding on to so much anger, pain and/or frustration. This is why it’s important to find a source of creativity… an outlet… something you can invest your time and energy into whenever you need to let time pass so things can just be. My favorite way of doing this is blogging, an art that i would highly encourage anyone and everyone to try. My other recommendations would be going to the gym and learning how to play an instrument, and/or really learning any practical skill. Y’all.. I wholeheartedly gave my all to one pursuit, finding love, and as a result the Universe blessed me with the most perfect person ever. Now, I need to apply that same pressure towards my short term and long term goals, and everything will be *peachy* as they say. What about you? What do you want to manifest, Royalty Fam? Let me know in the comments.
Wishing you lots of abundance, with love,
S. Rahaka.
